While perusing the DiskFaktory site, I came across the "Testimonials" pages and felt compelled to contribute, albeit our project was quite a while ago.

I had the unique and great pleasure of producing & recording an album featuring one of our industry’s great icons, and in a live setting to boot. Once we finished mixing we already knew we were going to use DiskFaktory, our choice predicated on the reputation of your company at the time around the O.C. and L.A. The industry legend insinuated above happened to be the one and only Seymour Duncan. Seymour was joined onstage along with the amazing George Lynch, as well as many other industry elite, which just blew me away, but I digress...

I brought a Tascam SX-1 to the special live concert event, which was held at a posh Santa Barbara hotel in April of ’05. I took both a feed from the splitter on the stage (to FOH) and then a few discreet mics placed around the stage as well. It was a whirlwind gig, in that for every tune there was an instrument/amplifier change over, and, of course, rotating players the entire evening. I was seriously in “buss hell”, but the honor and excitement of seeing Seymour Duncan, who knew and built pickups for Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck (among so many others) kept me focused. What a seriously cool evening.

Needless to say, and as one would expect, all the players, including Seymour, just simply ripped ---and it was all captured on the Tascam’s 24-bit HD. After mixing the record, I had an audience with the folks at “Seymour Duncan” regarding the manufacturing of the CD. Within a nanosecond, we had all agreed to put the project in the hands of Diskfaktory. And in no uncertain terms, the end result far exceeded our expectations. In fact, everyone was blown away by the outstanding quality of the CD and packaging. We made the order a limited affair, thus increasing the value of each CD. The integrity imparted to our album project was easily commensurate with any commercial CD manufactured by any U.S. Major or independent label/manufacturer. The highest manufacturing standards were strictly maintained, and I was immensely happy, as was Seymour.

All the people at DF, from the reception person who welcomed our phone queries early on, to the guys who ran the place, all treated us with the utmost respect and interest. I guarantee I will be using DiskFaktory a lot in the future.

I encourage any artist, management or label seeking commerce on the Internet as a means of promotion and selling records, to choose Diskfaktory to manufacture their CD’s and utilize all the services offered by DF to help further careers. I can tell you the following, unequivocally: Diskfaktory delivered the goods. Period. And we’re coming back. I myself have a new Peace Machine album coming out in spring, and because of this company’s commitment to being so involved, from cover art ideas, to manufacturing, to distribution, to promotional tools, it makes sense my number one choice is Diskfaktory. To be any artist residing in the 21st century and to receive even the slightest modicum of credibility, you have to be presented in the best possible light, including the means to follow up with re-orders and promotional tools. Many independent artists do not have the high-dollar manufacturing/promotion budgets and/or monies to credibly maintain a real presence in an otherwise closed neighborhood.
But now there’s a new backdoor..."Diskfaktory".

The Good Shepherd’s Studio is a non-profit outreach to teenage musicians. We provide a myriad of services to young musicians, including digital multi-track recording services free of charge to teens at no cost, providing them the same high quality of recording and CD production that adult musicians pay for. So far, in the last 3 years, we have worked with over 400 musicians, from 30 communities, and 5 states.

The majority of our clientele are “financially challenged”. However, thanks to the relationship we have with DiskFaktory, and the awesome pricing and services they provide, we are able to help these kids fulfill their dreams of having their own professional quality demo CD. Thank you for the quick response. The link worked fine and the disks arrived yesterday around 11:00 AM.

Please thank both Chris Remesol and the art department for the execellent job they did on the CD. I was a little worried about the conversion from RGB to CMYK, but the color match was almost perfect. The artist (my girl friend) that painted the original paintings from which I took the art work was amazed at how good the colors came out. She has a great sense of color, and found absolutely nothing to compIain about. Life around here will be a lot easier now.

I tested a random sample of the disks and the maximum C1 error count was 33 with the avarage C1's running around 1.4 to 1.7 per second. There was only one disk that had any C2 errors, around 40, and I think this was probably due to handling. It was one of the extras, not completely packaged. These error numbers are much better than any pressed (actually molded) disks I have tested and well below the spec's.
